I started Cravings Catering when a friend was looking for a caterer for her husband’s 37th birthday in November of 2014. Excitedly, I offered to help!!
It turned out wonderful to say the least, and I thought to myself, “hey, I could do this everyday!”
A huge word-of-mouth marketing from my closest friends and colleagues lead me to more bookings. (Thank you closest friends and colleagues!!)
This motivated me to pursue food catering seriously and turning my childhood dream into reality.
I grew up in the world of food, restaurant and catering industry in the Philippines. My parents were in the business of food for over 25 years — operating a restaurant, a number of canteen concessions in schools, hospital and manufacturing plants, and a full service catering to boot! I had the privilege of learning the business from the bottom up, doing tasks in the kitchen to doing paperwork to managing people. Among the highlights of our catering business was catering for Presidential visits in our hometown in Mindanao. One such was the inauguration of the provincial Capitol of Saranggani where then Congressman now Senator Manny Pacquiao held office. Catering to a 1000 people, 300 of which were the VIP’s of the land including then President Fidel Ramos.
I spent a lot of my growing up years in the kitchen starting at age 10: either observing my mother cook and preparing the food or being hands on, chopping, peeling, sautéing, mixing, garnishing, the list could go on. I tried and did it all! Flipping fresh lumpia wrapper from a dozen to hundreds was my favorite!
MOVING FORWARD
Being an immigrant from the Philippines, my family and I long for the unmistakable tastes and flavors of ”home” that is six thousand miles away where we are now. Finding the right ingredients at the local and fresh produce store in Victoria can be tricky and enjoyable at the same time. I am in constant search of ways to bringing authentic appetizing Filipino cooking in our home and that includes importing local ingredients from the Philippines.

With Cravings Catering, I would like to deliver that passion for cooking to your own homes so you can experience a stress-free event with a well-prepared set of distinctive and delightful Filipino cuisines that you crave for; Filipino dishes that you grew up with. That in the end, it will remind you of home, and or that it feels closer to home.
I thrive in a fast paced environment. Sleepless nights excite me, powered by prayers and enthusiasm while preparing for an event!
Fresh Lumpia, Kare Kare, Leche Flan and Brazo de Mercedes are among the favourites. Nonetheless, everything in the menu is carefully prepared for and a homage to the authentic taste of Philippine cuisine based on 20 plus years of experience.
